Ok, I need a lot of new skills...
My only big complaint about the update is the prices of skills....i want to change my axe warrior into a hammer warrior, but i dont want to blow my wallet on getting hammer skills (i hardly have any)...i think what Anet should have done was, make each skill that you obtain exponentially more expensive in each area...for example, each time someone buys maybe an Air spell, that goes up, but a fire spell would still be cheap....anyone agree?

Skill price
If you ask me, before the update skills where VERY cheep.
Skill are the most important thing in the game, they make the difference between good charachter and 1 that cannot do the work (given a char with skills knows how to use them).
So, If skills are so important, and there is a large demand to them, the price should have go up.
If we think of it, the skills are much more important then any good sword/wand or any item in the game.
Now, about your offer to make the skills sensitive to demand of market.
That could have make some of the skills much to pricy for some charachters.
For new charachters, 1k for skill is way to pricy, but, even for veteran chars, it can be pricy as well, since the value of rare items dropped, and money is harder to make this days.
1k is the right price (as much as i see it), not to high, not to low - gives new players the insentive to play the game.
They did well in that area

umm where is the incentive? i don't see it. I wanted to make another RPG char but now that is down the drain. im not paying 1k each for a cap sig and 1k for skills screw that. I refuse to farm for that damn gold since i love to PvP much more. Sure i could buy the skills from faction but when playing you gain more experience on how to play a class than just buy buying some skills and playing in tombs.

The insentive?
Since they wanted people to do both PvP and PvE, you have to play some PvE now to get new skills cheeper (from quests)
People that have high lvl charachters, usualy have some sum of money to spend on skills they want.
